THE Chancellor was slammed for “betraying Brexit” yesterday — as she signalled the opening of a new European migration route.
Rachel Reeves hinted that millions of EU-based adults aged between 18 and 30 will be eligible to move to Britain under a youth mobility scheme, allowing free cross-border work and travel.

The visa would be part of a fresh Brussels creep, with ministers looking to thrash out a new post-Brexit deal next month.
Mr Philp said: “Rachel Reeves’ choices have damaged the economy, meaning borrowing is up significantly, inflation is rising, and economic growth forecasts have been cut.
“That’s why the Treasury has forced her to do what it always does: import cheap foreign labour to make up for the damage she has inflicted on the economy.”
He added: “Be in no doubt, this is just another attempt by Labour to betray Brexit and re-open the door to uncontrolled and unlimited immigration.
“Every time Labour negotiates Britain loses.”
On Sunday Ms Reeves insisted she wants to “bring down net migration” and not “return to freedom of movement”.
But she added: “We do want to see better trading relationships between our countries and we do want to enable young people from Europe and the UK to be able to work and travel overseas.”
Reeves also recently triggered a fresh Brexit row by declaring the EU more important than America to the economy.
The Chancellor made the remarks hours before meeting her US counterpart to try to secure a much-coveted trade deal.
