The bloody Brit fled to a health clinic in the town of Faliraki but could not remember what had happened to him.

He was immediately rushed to the General Hospital of Rhodes where he had surgery for internal bleeding on the brain.

The 19-year-old remains in a critical condition and is unable to communicate or provide a statement on the attack, according to Greek media.

The incident was reported by medics who worked with the cops to piece together what had happened.

An investigation revealed that the Brit had been punched in the face causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.

The fall caused a serious injury to the back of his head which led to severe internal bleeding.

The police have identified a 24-year-old fellow Brit as the attacker.

He has now been arrested and has reportedly admitted to attacking the other Brit.

The alleged attacker had recently arrived in Rhodes and was staying at a well-known hotel on the island.

The victim’s friend was also called in to confirm the identity of the suspect

Cops said the investigation is ongoing and the authorities are still examining the exact causes of the brawl.
