Woman mauled by huge ‘Mastiff’ in horror attack on seafront before dog & owner fled with CCTV released

A WOMAN was brutally mauled by a huge Mastiff-type dog in broad daylight in a seaside town.

Cops are investigating the incident in Hunstanton, Norfolk, and have released CCTV images of a man and a dog who they wish to identify.

The woman was walking with her border terrier before being approached by the bigger dog which was off its lead on the evening of April 1.

The attack happened sometime between 5.15pm and 6pm and afterwards the man and his dog left the scene, police say.

The woman required hospital treatment for a leg injury and her dog required extensive veterinary care.

Norfolk Police said: “Anyone who recognises the man or who can help the investigation is asked to get in touch via the following channels quoting reference 36/23012/25.”
