RYAN MOORE has jocked Kieran Shoemark off the massive £225,000 ride on Dancing Gemini in the Lockinge.

It is the latest massive blow for Shoemark – who recently endured the week from hell.

PARyan Moore has been in incredible form and has pinched the ride on Dancing Gemini for Saturday’s Group 1 Lockinge at Newbury[/caption]

First he lost his job as the No1 rider for John and Thady Gosden.

Then he saw an epic French 1000 Guineas win on Shes Perfect ripped from his grasp after a controversial stewards’ enquiry demoted him to second – as cries of ‘cheat’ rang round the winner’s enclosure

Shes Perfect’s owners saw £150,000 go up in flames after Zarigana was given the race – but praised the jockey’s class in the gut-wrenching aftermath, with the result now to be appealed.

Now Shoemark will need to show he’s made of stern stuff all over again after losing the lucrative ride on crack miler Dancing Gemini.

Shoemark was expected to get the leg up on the Group 2-winning four-year-old colt, who looked awesome in last month’s bet365 Mile romp at Sandown.

But with Aidan O’Brien having no leg in the race, that freed up Moore.

The man thought by many to be the best on the planet has been in unbelievable form.

He produced a masterclass on Mount Kilimanjaro at Chester – before coming from the clouds to win the French 2000 Guineas on Henri Matisse in a thriller.

Teal said it had been difficult leaving Shoemark – who rode Dancing Gemini to victory in March’s Doncaster Mile – off the ride.

As it had been Rossa Ryan, who did the steering at Sandown.

But he said he had to give the horse the ‘best chance’ of victory at Newbury in the mega-money Group 1.

And that meant booking Moore.

Teal told the Nick Luck Daily podcast: “Obviously Rossa rode him the last day at Sandown because Kieran had other commitments with the Gosdens.

“But with what happened there… and Ryan Moore is available.

“It’s been a tough decision by the owner and myself.

“We’ve spoken for an hour every day making this decision.

“But Ryan Moore is Ryan Moore at the end of the day and we have to give ourselves the best chance.

“The other boys are very capable but when Ryan throws his hat into the ring it’s hard to say no.”
