A TORY MP has been charged with sexually assaulting two women at a star-studded private members club in London.

Patrick Spencer, 37, will appear before magistrates next month after being accused of assaulting two women at London’s Groucho nightspot.

The alleged sexual assaults happened at the swanky Groucho Club

The charges relate to two separate women, confirmed the Met Police.

A man attended a voluntary interview at a London police station on March 13, said cops.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) then authorised police to charge Patrick Spencer with two counts of sexual assault.

The 37-year-old will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday June 16.

A Conservative Party spokesman said: “The Conservative Party believes in integrity and high standards.

“We have taken immediate action. Patrick Spencer MP has been suspended from the Conservative Party, and the whip withdrawn, with immediate effect.

“The Conservative Party cannot comment further on an ongoing legal case.”

It comes after we told in April how a politician was interviewed under caution over incidents at the A-list haunt.

Married Dad of two Spencer – MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich – was questioned by Scotland Yard detectives in March this year over the alleged attacks said in August 2023.

Spencer, a senior fellow at the Centre for Social Justice, was elected for the first time in July 2024 with a majority of more than 4,000 in his constituency.

It is unclear whether the MP knew he was under investigation when he stood in last year’s election.

But he is understood to have told parliamentary authorities about the probe.

Spencer joined the Conservative Party while he was at university.

He has worked at the Centre for Social Justice, as a Senior Adviser at the Department for Education and as a Director at the Jobs Foundation.

He is also a Governor at a Federation of local Primary Schools, a mentor with the Social Mobility Foundation and I sat on the Advisory Council for the Living Wage Foundation.

The MP has not voted at Westminster since he was questioned by police, but has been active on social media.

Since his election, he has campaigned on issues including rural crime, childrens’ services and boosting local businesses.

Stars including Stephen Fry, Liam Gallagher, Damien Hirst, Kate Moss and Lily Allen have partied at the £1,250 per year club Groucho since it opened in 1985.

The Groucho, on Dean Street in the heart of Soho, has three bars, two restaurants, a snooker room, four event rooms and 17 bedrooms for members and guests.

Its name is a nod to comedian Groucho Marx, who said he would not want to be a member of any club that would accept him.

Other celebs who have been members include Harry Styles, Nick Grimshaw, Cara Delevigne and Rachel Weisz.

People who want to join the club have to be proposed by a current member.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man following an investigation by detectives.

“The Met has issued a charge and requisition to Patrick Spencer, 36, from Suffolk, in connection with an investigation into two sexual assaults, which reportedly occurred at Groucho Club in August 2023.

“The charges relate to two separate women.

“On 13 March 2025, a man attended a voluntary interview at a London police station.

“Patrick Spencer has since been charged with two counts of sexual assault and will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday, 16 June.”
