Woman ‘sexually assaulted’ on top deck of bus in city centre as cops issue CCTV in hunt for man

A WOMAN was sexually assaulted on the top deck of a bus and cops have released CCTV of a man they are searching for.

The victim is understood to have been sat on the top deck of the bus when a man touched her inappropriately, police have said.

The alleged attack is said to have taken place a No 2 bus in Oxford city centre on April 18.

Thames Valley Police has today released an image of a man it is searching for in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police Oxford said: “Our Assessment and Investigation Unit (AIU) are investigating an incident of sexual assault and are asking for your help.

“We believe that the person in the image may have vital information that could aid in our ongoing investigation.

“If you know this person, if you are this person or if you witnessed anything that might relate to this investigation, please contact police on 101 or by going online quoiting reference number 43250189205.

“All reports of sexual assault are dealt with seriously and robustly by us.

“If you have been the victim of such a crime please report it to us. You can call 999 in an emergency or report via 101 or online.”
