And all eyes will be on Irish legend Rory Mcllroy who is favourite to take home the crown after finally adding The Masters trophy to his illustrious cabinet just last month.

However, reigning champion Xander Schauffele will certainly not give up his title that easily, especially having fought so hard to win it in 2024.

Furthermore, Schauffele is aware of how much money comes with lifting the PGA Championship, so he’ll be eager to secure another huge payday.

When is the PGA Championship 2025

The PGA Championship 2025 gets underway on Thursday, May 15.

It then concludes on Sunday, May 18.

Quail Hollow Golf Club is the chosen venue for this huge competition.

PGA Championship 2025 prize money

This year’s PGA Championship prize money is yet to be revealed.

However, last year, a staggering £14.01m ($18.5million) purse was available up for grabs.

And 2024 champion Schauffele bagged a cool £2.5m ($3.3m) following his four rounds of the course which is approximately 18 percent of the total winnings.

What else does the winner get?

The winner will also get a lifetime exemption to the PGA Championship and the Masters is the only other event that offers such an award.

A Champions Dinner is also on the cards which is a tradition that started in 1965.

In addition to that, the winning golfer receives five-year exemptions into the other three major competitions and if required, the PGA hands out a five-year membership card to the PGA Tour, and a seven-year membership card to the DP World Tour.

PGA Championship winners also typically earn 100 Official World Golf Rankings points. That would be enough for the victor to earn a top-50 ranking worldwide.

American-born winners will even receive 1.5 points for every $1,000 (£757) earned in the PGA Championship.
