TYSON FURY had a sizzling response when he met “sausage” Oleksandr Usyk after threatening to sue him.
You wouldn’t know the Gypsy King was unhappy his rival wanted to delay their unification fight – judging by their encounter in Riyadh.
Tyson Fury seemed to take Oleksandr Usyk by surprise with his hug
Usyk eventually responded with the biggest of bear hugs
As Fury prepared to take on UFC legend Francis Ngannou in Saturday’s crossover fight, he cooked up a surprise reaction as Usyk turned up in the Saudi Arabia capital.
The unbeaten Mancunian had called his fellow unbeaten heavyweight a “sausage” and warned him he faced legal action if he tries to postpone their historic bout in December.
Fury says Usyk would be breaking his contract if the Ukrainian stands by his demand for 12 weeks of training – meaning the fight taking place next year.
But the Brit, 35, appeared to wrongfoot the 36-year-old when they approached each other amid a blaze of cameras and crowd of onlookers in Riyadh.
A smiling Fury said: “Come on, then, hug it out. Come on, fella, give me a hug.”
Straight-faced Usyk at first looked to his side and appeared nonplussed.
But he then bearhugged Fury off the ground.
The Gypsy King sparked laughter by replying: “AAaah, I needed that hug.”

The duo have signed up for heavyweight boxing’s first ever four-belt unifying bout.
But first Fury must see off rank outsider Ngannou – in the opener to his three-fight deal in Saudi Arabia.
He’ll earn around £65million against the Cameroonian – on the way to an estimated £165m.
