Fans complained of “constant buffering” as they were left with an “unwatchable” screen.
It occurred around 20 minutes into Wednesday’s battle in Bilbao, with the scores 0-0 at the time.
Some supporters could not get any picture at all on their screen.
While others moaned about the video stopping for up to 15 seconds at a time.
Meanwhile, one fan cried that his audio was out of sync.
While the stream kept cutting to adverts with no rhyme or reason.
One fan said: “This game is watchable on the discovery plus app, constant buffering.”
Another declared: “Discovery plus having a full blown meltdown.
