The attack took place in Manchester, on the popular 255 bus service.

The bus was en-route to Urmston from Manchester Piccadilly when the incident unfolded on April 21.

Police have confirmed that the incident occurred at 12.39pm and are now searching for a man who can assist them in their enquiries.

Cops have also encouraged anyone who saw something suspicious on the bus service to call 101 – quoting quoting log 1270 of 21/04/2025.

Manchester Piccadilly is one of the busiest stations in the city and sees hundreds of bus services come and go throughout the day.

However, transport in Manchester has undergone a major overhaul thanks to Andy Burnham’s ambitious Bee Network.

The metro mayor has implemented a tap-and-go pay system that is used by all Manchester buses – similar to using the Tube in London.

Train stations in the city are being overhauled too, with Salford Central being given wider platforms, a new roof and a new ticket office.

The huge renovation project cost £10 million and forced the station to close for two months.

Manchester Oxford Road Station is set to close for two years, as part of a project to increase its capacity.

The project will allow for an additional 120 passengers per train and will allow two extra trains to call at the station per hour.
