ERIK TEN HAG has reportedly made a decision on his first job since his axing as Manchester United manager.

The Dutchman was relieved of his Old Trafford duties last November, a mere SIX MONTHS after guiding the club to a shock FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

The 55-year-old has been in no rush to return to the dugout, although he’s reportedly held talks with Bayer Leverkusen about becoming their new manager.

And it’s claimed he’s agreed to take charge of the Bundesliga outfit.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims Ten Hag has said “yes” to a “two-year contract” at the BayArena.

Ten Hag has also been linked with a return to Ajax but is said to have prioritised a move to Leverkusen.

Leverkusen are on the lookout for a new manager due to Xabi Alonso‘s imminent departure.

The Spaniard, who guided the club to the Bundesliga title in the 2023/24 season, is set to join Real Madrid.

Alonso is reportedly on course to be unveiled as the replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, who managed him when he played at the Bernabeu, next week.

Despite being brutally sacked by the Red Devils brass, Ten Hag claimed he “LOVED” his time in the Premier League.

But in the months which followed his dismissal, he admitted he may never return to management.

During an appearance on the SEG Stories podcast, he said: “There are so many other things I could do.

“Maybe in football, in a new position as a manager. That’s an option. And maybe something completely different.

“I’ve been working with my brothers lately. We have our own company.

“Or rather: they have their own company.

“But we also run a company together with our father.

“That’s also something I love to do I can now give that more attention and it’s also a lot of fun.”
