SunSport understands the forward would be open to leaving Spurs this summer.
He sees the merits of ending a decade at the club on a high following last month’s Europa League triumph.
Spurs would not let him go on the cheap, though, especially given the vast commercial benefits he brings to the club through his iconic status in his home country.
It is why it would be a major shock if the North Londoners sold him ahead of their trip to Seoul at the start of August.

The North Londoners are commercially contracted to play Son in the game and would be impacted financially if they did not, even if he was injured.
It is similar to commercial agreements with most top players at the big clubs for pre-season tours to avoid second-string sides being fielded and disappointing supporters.
The deal does not mean Son could not be sold before the tour if Spurs receive a massive offer they feel they could not turn down – but it considerably diminishes the chances of that happening.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are in regular contact with Israeli winger Manor Solomon, who is stranded in Tel Aviv amid the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Solomon, 25, married long-term partner Dana Voshina in his homeland last Thursday but the couple have not been able to leave the country since.
That is because the Israeli military closed airspace to civilian traffic following aerial attacks from Iran last week.
A Spurs spokesperson said: “We are constantly in regular dialogue with all our players regarding their wellbeing and welfare.”
Spurs’ players are not due back for pre-season training until early July.
Solomon won the Championship on loan at Leeds last season.
But as SunSport exclusively revealed earlier this month, Spurs are ready to give him a second chance to make it with his parent club this term.
