A WOMAN has been charged with the murder of a film director who was found stabbed to death in her home.
Nancy Pexton, 69, has been charged with murdering 69-year-old Jennifer Abbott, also known as Sarah Steinberg, who was found dead at her flat in Camden, north London, on Friday, June 13.

Jennifer was found by her niece and neighbours who had broken down her door after the family had not heard from her for several days.
A post-mortem examination gave Jennifer’s cause of death as sharp force trauma.
Pexton is due to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court today, the Metropolitan Police said.
It comes after police had initially reported they were “keeping an open mind” about the possible motive for the murder.
In particular, cops were appealing in particular for information about a Rolex watch with a distinctive diamond-encrusted face, which they believed to be missing from Jennifer’s home.
They had said this expensive watch may be linked to Jennifer’s death.
A neighbour had also claimed Jennifer had been left with tape across her mouth when she was discovered.
In a statement this morning, cops explained how they were called to the scene at around 6pm last Friday evening “to a report of an unresponsive woman at her home in Mornington Place, Camden.”
Police added: “Officers attended and found a woman with stab injuries.
“She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“She was identified as 69-year-old Jennifer Abbott.
“Her next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.”
