CONVICTED paedophile Jacky Jhaj is on the run after attempting to ‘marry’ a nine-year-old Ukranian girl at Disneyland Paris in an elaborate hoax wedding that cost over £100,000.

But with a slew of previous expensive, warped stunts – often involving children – behind him, questions are being asked about how the disgraced director and actor from west London is making his money.

Although Jhaj was jailed for four years in 2016 for grooming and sexually assaulting two 15-year-old schoolgirls, he has managed to mount a series of costly and tasteless hoaxes since being released.

He has spent a fortune hiring lavish venues, supercars and innocent children to star as extras for his repulsive pranks, which have included staging a fake funeral.

Jhaj, from Fulham, west London, has been charged for offences including fraud, abuse of trust, handling stolen goods and money laundering.

But questions remain unanswered about how exactly he has managed to amass the cash to produce a slick two hour film, and who is footing the wage bill for the huge casts and professional crews he employs.

The Disneyland stunt alone cost thousands of pounds.

The fee for hiring the grounds of the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle for a wedding is £111,000.

Plus he paid for luxury private coaches to transport the unwitting ‘wedding guests’ the 70 mile round trip from the centre of Paris.

And in another big budget stunt last summer serial predator Jhaj, 39, blew up police vehicles and a BBC lorry – and walked away naked as the blaze spiralled out of control.

He has also produced and starred in a dark movie called Dangerous Sexual Predator – leaving onlookers wondering how an unemployed convicted criminal could possibly fund such elaborate projects.

This week X users were demanding to know where Jhaj gets his cash from.

One user posted: “How does he fund all of this? Seems a very obvious q.”

Another asked: “Where has the money been coming from for this?? What team is behind arranging the logistics etc. surely there’s more to this.”

Among his entourage in Paris last weekend were three other people who were also arrested – the child’s mum, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman; a 24-year-old Latvian woman who played the role of the bride’s sister, and a 55-year-old Latvian man who also took part in the sickening ceremony.

And then there is a woman named Christelle Ka, who bills herself as an ‘actor and TV host’ and runs a firm called Cristal Communications.

She posted the extraordinary Facebook advert recruiting actors as young as five years old for the depraved wedding.

But her link to Jhaj remains unclear.

Kids between the age of five and 15 were offered 200 euros each to take part in the ‘high end wedding rehearsal’.

And Jhaj was somehow able to pay for musicians, a wedding cake, and the cost of hiring chairs for hundreds of guests.

To help stage his previous stunts he has also forked out for vehicles including a £3.2 million Bugatti Chirson and recruited teams of well paid explosive experts.

Last August Jhaj flew in special effects technicians from Eastern Europe to help stage a terrifying explosion near the 02 in east London, using the name Toby.

But when he removed his ‘grotesque evil villain’ prosthetic mask, one of the film crew recognised him and pulled out.

Frantic Jhaj offered cash incentives for the team to carry on – agreeing to pay engineers £5,000 instead of their usual £750 fee for the day.

Dozens of firefighters were called to tackle the blaze as it spiralled out of control, and questions remain over how the convicted criminal was apparently allowed to perform his terrifying stunt so publicly.

He had obtained a filming permit from the Royal Borough of Greenwich council, thought to have cost around £10,000 for the day.

The huge blast was triggered by using gun powder and a detonation cord.

Cars draped in Union Jack flags, a police car, police van and a BBC World News branded lorry all exploded in a fireball.

The roof of the police van was sent flying 50 feet into the air, and the London Fire Brigade said it received around 100 emergency calls in response to the incident.

As plumes of smoke billowed into the sky, Jhaj was seen casually walking away completely naked, smoking a cigarette.

Million-pound supercars

Just months before the huge explosion, Jhaj and his backers rented a Bugatti Chiron supercar worth £3.2 million.

Then they paid a large group of children to gather round him outside The Hub Studios in east London.

They were rewarded with golden envelopes and even a necklace which Jhaj dished out to the crowd.

Two months earlier he had used a well known international casting platform called Backstage to hire yet more child actors in order to stage an elaborate £10,000 fake funeral at the London Oratory.

In 2023, disturbing footage surfaced of Jhaj mixing with around 200 children and 100 young women at a bogus film shoot in London’s Leicester Square.

Dozens of child actors as young as six were recruited as supposed film extras dressed in school uniforms for the event.

The cast was requested to wear a range of costumes which included “Clubbing High School Uniform”, a “Harry Potter type look (came straight from school)” and “PJs”.

Jhaj held the event outside the Odeon Luxe cinema, where a professional looking red carpet was set up with barricades.

The organiser of the event – known as “Project BRT” – hired 90 children aged six to 14 from an agency called Jam 200.

The production also booked around 100 young women between the ages of 16 to 24 from Universal Extras.

Before his recent stunts the serial prankster featured bare chested in a two hour movie, in which he appeared to glory in the description given to him by police.

‘Dangerous Sexual Predator’

When he was arrested in 2016 for grooming and sexually assaulting two schoolgirls, cops referred to Jhaj as “a dangerous sexual predator.”

He drove around the streets of Hounslow in a silver Range Rover, claiming to be a 21-year-old Hollywood film producer and offering teenagers alcohol.

And yet, four years later he somehow managed to amass the funds to produce a film featuring himself, often bare-chested, driving around with a series of young female passengers.

Prosecutors confirmed on Tuesday that Jhaj is known in the UK “for sexual offences against minors”.

He was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with two underage girls at Isleworth Crown Court, and later found guilty of handling stolen goods.

He was jailed for four years for all the offences together.

After his conviction, Detective Constable Nav Johal, the investigating officer from Hounslow CID, said: “Thanks to the courage and bravery of the young vulnerable victims who gave evidence, a dangerous sexual predator has been brought to justice.

“I am hopeful that the verdict and sentencing will give them some peace and closure, and they will be able to, in time, move forward from this difficult period.”
