THOMAS PARTEY will leave Arsenal when his contract expires on MONDAY, reports claim.
The 32-year-old was in talks over extending his career at the Emirates but an agreement couldn’t be reached.
Thomas Partey will not extend his time with Arsenal
The Gunners will confirm the midfielder’s exit early next week, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
SunSport reported that Arsenal and Partey were negotiating over a renewal, while he has been free to speak to overseas teams since January.
Partey remained an important part of Mikel Arteta’s side during 2024-25, accumulating 52 appearances in all competitions.
The Ghanaian scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 167 appearances since joining in 2020.
Partey played in multiple positions for Arteta’s injury-ridden side last term, despite a number of spells out on the sidelines himself over the years.
As well as his usual defensive midfield role, Partey started at right-back during the Gunners’ defensive woes last season.
Many fans were keen for him to stay after several stellar performances, including during his side’s Champions League quarter-final first leg 3-0 win over Real Madrid.
Arsenal are reshuffling their midfield this summer, with a deal for Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi regarded as done.

Sociedad prefer for the move to be finalised at the start of July for accounting purposes after Profit and Sustainability Rules reset on June 30.
Arsenal are also in the process of finalising a deal with Brentford to sign their club captain Christian Norgaard for £15million.
Partey’s Premier League stats last season
Partey moved to North London in October 2020 from Atletico Madrid after his £42.7million release clause was met.
It was Arsenal‘s current sporting director Andrea Berta who sanctioned the sale during his time at Atletico.
He has attracted interest from Barcelona and clubs in Turkey.
Partey joined Atletico in 2012, before he had made his professional debut.
He made 188 first-team appearances and scored 16 goals, winning the Europa League in 2018 and finishing as a runner-up in the Champions League in 2016.
The midfielder only won the Community Shield with Arsenal in 2024, beating Manchester City on penalties at Wembley.
Jorginho, 33, was also out of contract this summer and left for Flamengo ahead of the Club World Cup earlier this month.
