THIS is the awkward moment a Champions League snooker match was interrupted by an ice cream van.
The hilarious incident occurred during Stephen Maguire’s battle against James Cahill at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.
A Champions League match was rudely interrupted by an ice cream van
The two men put on a brave snooker battle in the heat.
But it was Maguire who came out on top in a 3-1 victory.
Despite his brilliant display, the ace was left flustered at one point.
He was looking to hit his second century of the match when he was rudely interrupted by a noise.
Maguire was looking to pot a red having already racked up a break of 64.
But as he prepared to take the shot, the distinctive sound of an ice cream van could be heard blaring in the background.
The noise appeared to throw off Maguire, who took his shot but missed the target.
The strange moment even caught a chuckle from commentator Phil Yates.

He said live on air: “A very ill-times ice cream van outside. Not that it matters.
“Maguire will take a lot of confidence from that, because he played nicely to get over the line.”
One fan reacted with a brilliant comment.
They said: “If only he were on a break of 99!”
Maguire enjoyed further success on the opening day of the Champions League as he beat both Liam Graham and Michael Holt 3-0 to finish top of their group.
A massive 32 groups of players are competing for the top prize of £33,000.
The winner will also book a place at the Champion of Champions event in November.
And the final will take place on July 23.
