NICO WILLIAMS has snubbed a potential Athletic Bilbao exit by inking a MAMMOTH new deal at San Mames.
The Spain international has caught the eye of several clubs over the last two years, including Arsenal and Barcelona.

Both the Gunners and Barca were interested in acquiring his services this summer.
But their pursuits of the 22-year-old have failed as he’s inked a new TEN-YEAR deal which has seen his release clause DOUBLE.
A snippet of a Bilbao statement read: “Nico Williams extends his contract with Athletic Club until 2035.
“The Atletico winger is tied to his beloved club for the next ten seasons.
“And his buyout clause has increased by more than 50% compared to the previous one.
“Athletic Club and Nico Williams have reached an agreement to extend his contract, which ended in 2027, for eight seasons, until June 30, 2035.
“His buyout clause has increased by more than 50% compared to the previous one.”
An ecstatic Williams said: “When it comes to making decisions, for me, what weighs most is the heart.
“I’m where I want to be, with my family, this is my home. Go Athletic!”

It’s understood his new release clause is now in the region of £90million.
Williams’ deal at San Mames will be music to the ears of wantaway Manchester United hitman Marcus Rashford.
The England international, who spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan with Aston Villa, is keen on a move to Barca this summer.
The Catalan club are understood to hold an interest in signing the 27-year-old striker – but had also been keen on Williams.
Despite manager Ruben Amorim deeming him to be surplus to requirements, United will likely want a sizeable fee for their academy graduate.
That’s because he has three years left on his £325,000-a-week contract at the Theatre of Dreams.
