A SCHOOLBOY has been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped outside a library in broad daylight.
The attack is said to have taken place outside Chertsey Library in Surrey at around 7pm in June 27.
Surrey Police has now confirmed a 14-year-old boy was arrested in connection with its probe on Wednesday.
Inspector Ian Nash urged people “to remain mindful of what they post online about this as it is a live case with active legal proceedings underway”.
The victim is reported to have been approached by two males while she was with a friend before she was assaulted at around 7pm.
Cops previously shared a CCTV image on social media of a man they wished to speak to.
Detective Sergeant Mihai Kerekes said: “Incidents of this nature are extremely concerning, and we want to reassure the public that a full investigation is underway to identify the person involved.
