PRINCE William cheered on the Lionesses as they smashed the Netherlands 4-0 in their must-win Euro 2025 match yesterday.

The Prince of Wales — Patron of the FA — was in Zurich for England’s group stage match.

The pressure was on after Saturday’s 2-1 opening defeat to France.

But the Lionesses romped home thanks to two goals by Lauren James and others by Georgia Stanway and Ella Toone.

Keen fan Wills had presented the trophy when England beat Germany at Wembley to win Euro 2022.

And he visited the squad in June as they prepared at the national football HQ at St George’s Park, in Burton-onTrent, Staffs.

He listened to coach Sarina Wiegman’s plans — and even helped with pressing lettering on the Lionesses’ jerseys.

As he helped, he joked: “It’s a lot of pressure.”

Wills was the one to present the national women’s team with their trophy when they won the Uefa Cup in 2022.

He did not make the trip to Australia the following year when the Lionesses lost in the final of the Women’s World Cup.

But the Prince decided Switzerland was close enough to support his team in the group stage and cheered on as they dominated the Dutch.
