A MAN, 24, has tragically drowned in nine inches of water in a “freak paddling pool accident”.

Roan Bloore is understood to have fallen into the water at his Doncaster home after collapsing while emptying the paddling pool.

The 24-year-old passed away in hospital on June 26

He was submerged for around 10 minutes in the shallow depth before he was discovered on June 26 last month.

Paramedics performed an hour of CPR on the young man and managed to restart his heart in hospital.

But tragically Roan’s brain had been starved of oxygen for too long which resulted in organ failure.

His heartbroken father Michael told MailOnline: “I’m ripped to pieces, one of my babies is gone. I had four children and now I have three.”

The dad-of-four and his wife had been on holiday at the time of the tragedy.

They rushed back as soon as their daughter informed them of the horror, but never made it back in time to say goodbye.

Michael told how roadworks and heavy traffic meant they “missed seeing Roan by 10 minutes”.

“It’s like a nightmare I can’t wake up from,” said the devastated dad.

Roan had only set up the paddling pool a few weeks prior to his death for his nieces and nephews.

The family had also enjoyed a summer garden party in the days leading up to the tragedy.

Michael had previously instructed Roan to take the pool down soon or it would damage the grass underneath.

“If he took it down when I suggested it wouldn’t have been like this,” he said.

Roan’s older brother, who is a trained lifeguard, helped paramedics perform CPR.

He was there with the 24-year-old until he sadly passed away.

And dad Michael told the MailOnline that after this “freak accident” he believes everyone should be supervised around water, no matter how deep.

A message written by Roan’s sister Abigail on GoFundMe read: “Roan was emptying a paddling pool in our back garden when he has fallen into it and sadly drowned.

“His heart was restarted after an hour of trying by paramedics, they managed to get his heart restarted in hospital but damage had already been done due to lack of oxygen, this lead to his organs failing and he sadly passed away.

“He had no life insurance or estate but at 24 who would?

“His parents are on benefits due to medical issues and don’t have much money available for the funeral.

“They’ve applied for help from the DWP but this only covers up to £1,000.

“The price of the funeral we are wanting is only £2,250, its nothing too big.

“I know people don’t have to help but any help is appreciated more than you can imagine.”

An inquest has been launched into Roan’s death.

A coroner found water in his lungs and stomach consistent with drowning.

Michael told how Roan only had one beer the day he died, although a substance test is due to be carried out.

Roan’s other sister Katie wrote on an emotional tribute on FaceBook: “R.I.P Roan Bloore I love you more than words can say we will forever miss you big bro hope you have fun up there.

“I would like to thank close family, friends, neighbours, NHS and the police for all that you did to help.

“It comes with so much sadness that our boy Roan Bloore didnt make it, and passed away in the early hours on the 26th June.

“Our hearts are truly broken.

“Again, thank you for all that you did.”

A close friend also wrote: “I can’t believe I’m writing a status like this its still not real but R.I.P to a beautiful person inside and out!

“No parent should bury there child! Gone far too young!! I love each and each single one of you I’m still in shock! And absolutely devastated.”

Another penned: “My heart breaks for you all.”
