A WOMAN lunged at a group of train passengers and tried to grab a person’s throat after a row broke out, cops said.
Cops investigating the alleged assault in Staffordshire released CCTV in the hope of gathering more information.
It happened at around 11.55pm on Saturday May 3, when a 26-year-old woman was travelling on a train with a group.
A man known to them had an argument with another passenger.
Another woman known to this passenger began shouting at the group about the man.
Cops said she then lunged at the 26-year-old woman and “attempted to grab her throat before further assaulting her” and other passengers then intervened.
The train stopped at Landywood railway station and they all left.
Officers believe the woman in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
Anyone who recognises her is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 945 of 3 May.
