COPS have launched an urgent probe after the body of a 45-year-old man was found near a popular lake.
The tragic discovery was made near Glyncornel Lake in Llwynypia, Wales, also known to locals as Pandy Lake, on Wednesday.
The lake’s entrance was said to have been sealed off while emergency services attended.
Numerous police vehicles and ambulances were present at the scene from 7.30pm until late in the evening, according to local reports.
Cops said that the death was “unexplained” and remains a mystery for now.
The identity of the man has not been revealed, and it remains unclear whether any suspicious circumstances surround his death.
A South Wales Police spokesperson said: “We were called just before 7.30pm on Wednesday, July 16, with a report of the sudden death of a 45-year-old man near Glyncornel lake in Llwynypia.
“The death is unexplained at this time and investigations surrounding the death continue.”
