ENGLAND go up against old foes Spain in a mouth-watering Euros final clash on Sunday.

But there’s an equally-intriguing battle going on behind the scenes too.

ITV and BBC are BOTH showing this weekend’s showdown, having split coverage of the women’s Euros throughout the past month.

And with both broadcasters serving up a smorgasbord of top talent, viewers will first have to decide which one to choose before delving head-first into England’s revenge mission against World Cup holders Spain.

First up it’s ITV, who have some huge names on board.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is back in town, having returned for England’s semi-final win over Italy.

It was Wrighty’s first Lionesses appearance since his row with Eni Aluko, who accused him of hogging televised spots that should be going to women.

She appeared on ITV earlier in the tournament for several group games.

But Aluko did not cover a single England match and was sent home in the knockout rounds after her punditry duties came to an end.

Joining Wright on Sunday is USA boss and former Chelsea manager Emma Hayes.

She knows a thing or two about winning after leading the Blues to seven Women’s Super League titles — including five on the bounce.

Ex-England star Karen Carney is also in town, having won three titles and four Women’s Cups during her playing days.

And finally, ITV’s hosting duties go to none other than Laura Woods.

The popular fan favourite is back on screens after giving birth to her first child with partner Adam Collard.

Woods gave birth in January and returned to work in April for the Champions League clash between Barcelona and Inter Milan.

And after making a seamless transition back to the screen, Woods will once again be the conductor of ITV’s star-packed punditry orchestra.

Meanwhile, rivals BBC also have plenty to offer viewers looking for top insights.

New Match of the Day host Gabby Logan will be presenting for the broadcaster from Basel.

She is one of the top stars on the sports scene, having been chosen alongside Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates as Gary Lineker’s replacement.

And Logan’s experience will provide the Beeb with a steady hand at the helm on Sunday.

Ex-England captain Steph Houghton will be in the studioGetty

She will be joined by former England captain Steph Houghton, who played for Arsenal and Man City.

Houghton won three titles and five Women’s Cups during her playing days and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Lionesses to ever wear the shirt.

Another England icon, Ellen White, is also in town for the final.

Like Houghton, she also starred for Arsenal and Man City while winning numerous trophies.

However, she was a part of England’s Euros success in 2022 and will know just what it takes to get Sarina Wiegman’s side over the line.

The final pundit is Nedum Onuoha, who played 116 times for Man City.

He also starred 224 times for QPR before entering the media world.

And Onuoha has since been a vocal backer of the women’s game at the highest level.

But the BBC will also have a team on the pitch too, with Alex Scott taking charge of that area.

The Arsenal legend won six titles and seven Cups during a glittering playing career and is now one of the top presenting names on TV.

Finally, Scott will be joined by her namesake, Jill Scott.

The ex-Man City star and league winner was one of England’s standout stars in their Euro 2022 victory.

Since becoming a national treasure, she has gone on to enjoy success in media — starring alongside Wright, Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher on Sky’s The Overlap podcast and winning I’m A Celebrity in 2022.

Scott, a captain on Sky quiz show A League of their Own, was also the first female to captain England at Soccer Aid.

And she will be able to provide a unique look from the pitch itself in a big capture for the BBC.

Their coverage starts at 3.40pm on BBC one and BBC iPlayer with kick-off at 5pm.

As for ITV, coverage starts at 3.30pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
