COPS have launched an urgent manhunt for two prisoners who absconded from jail.
Inmates Ryan Mattox and Justin Brook escaped HMP Sudbury, in Derbyshire, between 12.15pm and 4.20pm on Wednesday, July 23.
Mattox was serving a sentence of 46 weeks for burglary, theft and assault of an emergency worker
Brook was serving a 34-month sentence for burglary, theft, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a bladed article
Derbyshire Police has warned the public “not to approach them” but contact the force instead.
Mattox, 30, is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall and of a thin build with brown hair and a goatee beard.
He was sentenced to 46 weeks behind bars for burglary, theft and assault of an emergency worker.
The inmate has links to Wolverhampton, Handsworth, Perry Barr, Bilston, Edgbaston and Birmingham.
Meanwhile Brook was serving a 34-month sentence for burglary, theft, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a bladed article.
The 30-year-old is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall and of a thin build with brown hair.
He also has links to Birmingham, the West Midlands and Leicestershire.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “We are appealing for information after two convicts absconded from HMP Sudbury.
“Members of the public are asked not to approach them, and instead contact us quoting the references 1075 of 23 July for Mattox and 1087 of 23 July for Brook.
