And Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Isak recently emerged as a target.

United made an enquiry about a potential move, but Isak turned it down.

The 25-year-old currently has his heart set on a move to Liverpool.

However, the reigning Premier League champions had a £110million bid turned down by Newcastle today.

Newcastle value the striker at £150m.

Isak has not joined the rest of his team-mates on the club’s pre-season tour as he looks to force a move.

He is currently training alone at his former club, Real Sociedad.

Man Utd have also expressed an interest in signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
