CHELSEA target Alejandro Garnacho fuelled speculation about his Manchester United future with a cryptic post.

Garnacho put up a photograph on his Instagram account of a TV screen showing him playing for United, with his back to camera and displaying his name and shirt number.

The Argentina winger recently liked another social media post linking him with a move to Chelsea.

But the Blues are yet to make a decisive move for the 21-year-old, who is also on the radar of Italian champions Napoli.

Garnacho is said to favour a move that keeps him in the Premier League as boss Ruben Amorim tries to clear the decks of players he does not want.

And United could end up accepting as little as £30m for the forward as the pressure to resolve the situation builds.

Garnacho has spent recent weeks goading United with online outbursts after being told he was not part of Amorim’s plans.

When fellow exile Marcus Rashford sealed a loan move to Barcelona, he reacted with a post saying, “Let’s gooooo”.

Earlier in the summer Garnacho put up a provocative image of him wearing an Aston Villa shirt with “Rashford 9” on the back and the words “My brother”, in reference to Rashford’s impressive spell on loan at Villa in the second half of last season.

Some United fans reacted furiously and Garnacho seems to have well and truly burned his bridges at Old Trafford.

On the orders of Amorim, Garnacho and other members of the Old Trafford “bomb squad” have been kept away from first-team training.

He and three other unwanted players – Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia – have been working separately from the squad that returned from the pre-season tour of the USA.

United fans have been left divided on Garnacho.

One wrote “He clearly wants to stay” before adding a broken heart emoji.

Although a second countered: “He’s showing his name mate not the badge… This is a “who want me” call.”

And a third posted: “Maybe change his attitude a bit.”
