A 14-year-old boy has now appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court charged with murder.

The schoolboy, who legally can’t be named, is also accused of possession of a knife.

Wearing a grey tracksuit, he spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

The youngster blew kisses to his mum ahead of the hearing this morning.

As he left the dock, his mum stood up and spoke to him before bursting into tears.

He was remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow.

Police were scrambled to St Margaret’s Primary School on Tuesday morning after the teen was knifed in the stomach.

Desperate parents rushed over to help the teen until paramedics arrived but sadly he couldn’t be saved.

One horrified witness said Alfie was stabbed while he picked up a friend’s little brother from the primary school.

Alfie’s parents yesterday released a heartbreaking tribute to the schoolboy.

They said: “I haven’t got the words to describe how devastated we all are.

“Alfie you were one in a million, so funny and an all-round entertainer with your rapping and dancing feet.

“You had the biggest heart and took care of everybody around you. You will never know just how much you are loved by family and friends, and you will always be our uncle Alfie.

“We love you so much. Nothing will ever be the same without you. You will shine in the sky, as bright as you did in all our lives. I love you more than words can say, and you will always be with us forever.

“Love you uncle Alfie.”
