ANGELA Rayner has repeatedly threatened to quit the Cabinet over “impossible” house-build targets, it is claimed.
The Deputy PM believes she was “set up to fail” by Sir Keir Starmer’s “people” on calls for 1.5million homes to be constructed in the next five years.

Former leader Tony Blair called her to stop her resigning, an updated biography of Sir Keir by Lord Ashcroft says.
A Labour MP told The Mail on Sunday: “The penny’s dropped for Angie’s team that she was set up to fail on this all along.
“There are some around Starmer who made sure she was given an impossible task as they never wanted her to succeed Keir.
“That plan is working.”
A source close to Ms Rayner said: “We do not recognise the claims made.
“Angela is proud to be serving as Deputy Prime Minister in Keir’s cabinet and delivering on Labour’s commitment to build 1.5million homes.”
Ms Rayner is also said to have resented having to fight for a grace-and-favour property such as Dorneywood, which was passed over to Rachel Reeves.
The book claims the PM’s aides tried to “fob her off” with a property in Northern Ireland.
