ANGELA Rayner’s £800,000 flat has been vandalised with graffiti calling her a “tax evader”.
The deputy PM’s political career has been left hanging by a thread after it was revealed she underpaid stamp duty when buying the home in Hove.

Now, the property has been vandalised with graffiti, calling Rayner a “tax evader”.
A white wall outside the home also has the word “b****” alongside a larger “tax evader!” spray.
Across the road, construction chipboard has been adorned with graffiti saying: “Tax evader Rayner” and “Rayner tax avoidance”.
It is understood that Rayner spoke to one individual experienced in conveyancing and two experts in the legal field on trusts before making the purchase.
She then saved £40,000 in stamp duty by reportedly using her disabled son’s NHS compensation to buy the seaside flat.
The BBC has also reported that it remains unclear whether the three professionals consulted by Rayner were experts when it comes to the complex area of tax law.
The deputy Labour leader has blamed the mistake – where she saved £40,000 in stamp duty – on the initial legal advice.
She has denied trying to avoid paying the full amount with the original advice not properly taking account of the full picture.
The senior Labour figure is also facing questions amid reports that £160,000 from a trust set up to look after her disabled son was used to buy the seaside flat.
She sold a 25 per cent stake in her constituency home to the trust for £162,500, the Telegraph reported.
Rayner has revealed that her son Charlie was born prematurely and received a payout in 2020 following an 11-year legal battle after her son was born in 2008.
In Hove, graffiti has made it even further down the street – outside a luxury apartment previously owned by Pink Floyd’s Dave Gilmour.
There, a message stating “Tax Evader Rayner” has been sprayed onto the pavement.
Residents living close by said they were “shocked and appalled” by the vandalism.
One said: “It’s shocking. What a disgraceful thing to do. I simply can’t believe it. I hope the police catch them. I’m sure there’s CCTV nearby.”
Another said: “I woke up and went for a jog and saw it. It’s a right mess. I’m appalled to be honest. It raises many fresh questions about the safety of MPs again.
“I’ve seen Angela Rayner around and she said hello and was very pleasant. I’m so astonished really.”
