ANONYMOUS letters sent to cops are believed to hold the key to the murder of a mum who was bludgeoned to death.
Beverley Brinkley was attacked and killed in a stairwell outside her flat in The Stow in Harlow, Essex in February 2003.

A witness reported seeing two men attack the mum-of-three and escape through a car park behind the flats.
One was described as white, short and stocky in his late thirties to early forties, with dark hair.
The other was said to be taller and aged between 20 and 30 with blonde shaven hair.
Over two decades later, the 35-year-old’s daughter Simone, who turned 13 the day her mother was brutally attacked, said the family are still desperately trying to track down the killer.
She told ITV: “Sometimes I feel I wish they’d seen what they’d done to her, to actually see how disgusting, what a human can do to another human.
“I just pray to God that someone lets us all rest and just know it’s over, so my mum can rest in peace.”
But cops now think they “hold key” information to the murder.
In 2004, Essex Police received two anonymous letters about the assault and now say they are confident “someone in the community knows something.”
In a new appeal, cops reminded the public that every piece of information “makes a clearer picture” and brings them closer to finding out what happened to Beverley.
The independent charity Crimestoppers has since put up a reward of £20,000 for any information that leads them to an arrest.
This came after Beverley’s parents died without justice for their daughter.
“It’s been 20 years without knowing the truth of what happened to our mum, our sister,” said her family in a statement.
“Beverley’s parents have now passed away without justice for their daughter. That’s one thing they really wanted, to know who killed her before they passed away.”
In a statement, police said: “We are hopeful that Crimestoppers’ new £20,000 reward for information will encourage more people in Harlow to think hard about that day in February 2003 and the circumstances of Beverley’s murder.
