FANS hilariously trolled the private jet that flew Antony to complete his Real Betis transfer.

The Manchester United flop enjoyed a successful loan stint with the Spanish club last season.

And after initially retracting their accepted opening offer – realising it was more than they could afford – Betis went back in.

The two clubs revived the deal and agreed a reduced £21.7million fee including add-ons.

Betis confirmed the transfer at 6.46pm – minutes after posting a video of a goat running across a bridge.

Antony’s five-year contract also features a 50 per cent sell-on clause for United should Betis sell him in the future.

And the Brazilian, 25, waived the £4m loyalty bonus he was due from Old Trafford to leave.

It means United made an approximate £64m loss on Antony after spending a whopping £85.5m to sign him from Ajax in 2022.

He scored 12 goals in 96 appearances for the Red Devils before travelling to Spain to complete his medical and exit.

However, it was the plane that took him to seal the deal that left supporters cracking up.

Antony shared a photo on his Instagram story of himself and four other men crammed into a tiny cabin to pose for a photo.

And social media users could not contain their laughter at the squeeze – suggesting Betis had blown their entire budget on the transfer, with not much leftover to charter a proper private jet.

One fan joked: “They got mans flying in a Twinkie. I’m going commercial if this the death trap they sending me on.”

Another quipped: “Betis’ budget blown so couldn’t get a bigger private jet.”

A third commented: “When you leave it down to Betis to order the private jet.”

And a final user wrote: “That £3.5m he missed out on must be hitting him hard with that jet.”

Antony’s fellow members in Ruben Amorim’s unwanted ‘Bomb Squad’ are following him out of Old Trafford.

Alejandro Garnacho joined Chelsea for £40m on Saturday.

Rasmus Hojlund signed for Napoli on loan with an obligation to buy if they qualify for the Champions League.

Jadon Sancho looks on course to head to Aston Villa on loan, while earlier in the summer Marcus Rashford headed to Barcelona for the season.

But Tyrell Malacia – the final member of the infamous group – could be forced to stay put after a reported deadline day temporary switch to Elche in Spain fell through.
