Arsenal are looking for reinforcements in midfield after the exit of Jorginho on a free transfer to Flamengo.
While they are yet to reach an agreement with Thomas Partey over a new deal, with the Ghanaian’s current terms expiring next week.
As things stand, Partey will leave the Emirates on the expiration of his contract.
Norgaard played 34 times in the Premier League for Brentford last season, scoring five goals and registering four assists.
The Danish international has been a crucial part of the Bees setup since his arrival from Fiorentina in 2019.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed Norgaard is keen on making the switch to North London, with negotiations continuing.
Arsenal are hoping to add another midfielder in the coming days and weeks too.

Zubimendi, 26, was in London last week to finalise the deal and is expected to sign the dotted line and be announced as an Arsenal player in July.
Sociedad are thought to prefer the deal to go through next month for financial reasons.
Reports suggest Arsenal will pay slightly more than the Spaniard’s £51m release clause in order to split the cost over a number of instalments.
Arsenal are also expected to complete a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, triggering his cut-price £5m release clause to get the deal over the line.
Kepa, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, is set to arrive as backup for first choice shot-stopper David Raya.
The Gunners’ top brass, including new transfer chief Andrea Berta, remain focused on bringing in a centre-forward during the window too.
SunSport revealed last week that talks over a move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko have stalled over the Slovenian’s wage demands, while Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres remains a second choice.
While it’s also been claimed that Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, who Arsenal failed to sign in January, is still admired and could return to the frame should they fail to land one of Sesko or Gyokeres.
