ARSENAL newbie Christian Norgaard has revealed how to pronounce his name properly… and you’ve been saying it wrong for years.
Former Brentford star Norgaard penned a deal with the Gunners this summer after six years in west London.
The 31-year-old, who cost £10million, could make his debut in Sunday’s Premier League opener against Manchester United.
And he is sure to play an important role supporting the likes of big-money Arsenal midfielders like Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.
However, commentators will have to make sure they know how to say his name correctly.
That’s because it sounds nothing like the way it is written.
Many believe Norgaard’s name is pronounced just like that – ’Nor-gard’.
However, the Dane himself has revealed that it sounds completely different when said correctly.
Taking part in a Premier League video of various managers and players saying their names, Norgaard showed that it is pronounced in a wildly different manner.
Taking to the screen, Norgaard read his own name out — with his surname sounding like ’Nar-goo’.
