ASDA has recalled baby clothes over a risk of injury, issuing an urgent warning to parents.

The George baby zip rompers – which come in pink and white – had a manufacturing issue

The £12 item, which fits all sizes up to 24 months, was identified as having a risk of injury.

This is because some of the zips may have sharp edges.

In a recall notice, ASDA warned that the issue affects all sizes and urgent parents to return the item for a full refund.

It said: “If you have purchased the George Baby 3PK Zip Rompers from Asda, please stop using immediately.

“Bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

“We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

It comes after Smyths pulled a magic tricks box from the shelves after a chocking hazard saw it fail to meet safety requirements.

The Fantasma Delux Top Hat set comes with a plush rabbit, top hat, cape and over 150 tricks.

But there’s a risk of the rabbit’s nose falling off, which is small enough to become lodged in a child’s throat.

The product therefore does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Shoppers who have the toy are advised to stop using it immediately and away from children.

Customers can return the product to their local branch and will be issued a refund.

It follows Grape Tree recalling Raw Unsalted Macadamia Nuts because Shiga toxin-producing E.coli was found in one of its batches.

The recall affects 250g packs of the nuts which have a best before date of July 11, 2026.

The store is warning customers who have bought the affected batch, which has a batch code of G41 5 101 250610, not to eat them.
