A MIGRANT hotel firm run by an “Asylum King” billionaire has made profits of £187million from government contracts.

Clearsprings Ready Homes is one of three companies to have signed ten-year contracts to provide accommodation for asylum seekers

Analysis of Companies House accounts show its profits so far total £186,989,435 thanks to the taxpayer-funded deal, which runs to 2029, according to the BBC

Clearsprings runs short-term housing for around 30,000 asylum seekers in southern England and Wales.

It was founded by ex-caravan park and disco owner Graham King, 58, of Essex.

He became a billionaire thanks to the migrant backlog.

In total, the three accommodation providers have made £383million profits since 2019.

The company has come under scrutiny from migrant charities who have accused it of cashing in on housing asylum seekers in “miserable” conditions in an open letter.

Residents have also moaned about the “terrible” hotels – claiming they provide “inedible” food and ration toilet paper.

The Home Office said profits of more than five per cent will be returned to it under a deal set up by the previous government.

Clearsprings was approached for comment.
