AYDEN HEAVEN is tipped to give Manchester United’s defence a rare fitness boost.

Ruben Amorim‘s Red Devils have been blighted with backline injuries this season.

Starlet Ayden Heaven could be set for a swift recoveryRex

Heaven himself has been optimistic about his condition

And the jinx hit 18-year-old Heaven at Leicester last Sunday.

The January deadline day recruit from Arsenal went down clutching his leg and needed lengthy treatment, before being carried off on a stretcher.

The England Under-19 star had arguably been United‘s best player at the King Power Stadium as they led 1-0 on the way to a 3-0 win.

But after the match he was seen leaving Leicester with his foot in a brace.

Now, however, the Londoner’s injury is reportedly “not thought to be serious”.

And that appears to confirm Heaven‘s own verdict on his progress.

He posted on social media earlier in the week: “Thank you guys for all the support.

“Have read all your messages, and I’m doing really well and recovering fast.”

Nonetheless, the international break has come at a handy time for Heaven.

United, in 13th spot, are out of action until their Prem clash at third-placed Nottingham Forest on Tuesday April 1.

Amorim has already revealed his delight at Heaven’s fast start to life at Old Trafford.

The former Sporting Lisbon chief said: “I really like his confidence.

“I like his pace, I think he is good in defending the box and I think he is quite complete.”

However, Amorim added: “He has a lot of work to do in the Premier League.

“We will face a different kind of player and he will be tested in a different kind of way, so we are trying to manage all of this because he is still really young.”
