AZ vs Spurs preview
Competition favourites Tottenham return to Europa League action this week when they head for the Netherlands.
They go to AZ – who they’ve already beaten in the league phase – who finished 19th in the league and currently sit in sixth in the Dutch top flight.
It should be all about Tottenham though, who are getting a few bodies back from injury for a busy end to the season.
Their inconsistencies have been really tough for Ange Postecoglou this season but this competition can prove to be a real highlight if they take it seriously enough.
That starts with the game at Alkmaar and the away record of Spurs winning three of their last five, losing at Aston Villa and Liverpool, should mean they can bring a decent result home.
AZ have won all of their last four at home though, including thumping Galatasaray 4-1 in the play off round.
