AT least three people including a baby have been killed in another round of devastating drone and missile strikes on Ukraine.

Russian forces also hit Kyiv’s main government building for the first time as part of the deadly blitz which injured dozens of civilians.

Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the cabinet of ministers building was in flames following the horror attacks.

He said the ruthless assault started with with drones raining down, before a salvo of missiles hit.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko confirmed the attack in the early hours of Sunday morning, adding that the government building’s roof and upper floors were damaged “due to an enemy attack”.

A one-year-old baby was killed in the deadly strikes which also wounded at least 18 people.

Several residential buildings went up in flames after being hit by drone debris while many others were left without power, Kyiv’s mayor said.

Horrifying images showed plumes of smoke billowing up from the capital as firefighters worked desperately to put out the fires.

Russia also attacked Kryvyi Rih, Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown.

Three infrastructure facilities were hit and air raid warnings were activated overnight for all of the country’s regions.

The brutal air assault comes as Putin continues to wage his bloody war with no intent of stopping, despite high-stakes peace talks in recent weeks.

The Russian President also met with his Chinese and North Korean counterparts earlier this week for the “Axis of Evil” summit, sending a stark warning to the West.

Ukraine’s air force said that in the overnight attacks, Russia launched at least 805 drones and 13 missiles.

Tkachenko, the head of the military administration in Kyiv, said Russia was “deliberately and consciously striking civilian targets”.

It comes after Putin has claimed it was “impossible” to make a peace deal with Zelensky just days after inviting him to Moscow.

The despot also warned British and Nato peacekeeping troops sent to Ukraine that they will be seen as “legitimate targets”.

It came less than 24 hours after Ukraine and their closest allies held a Coalition of the Willing meeting in Paris to discuss the deployment of peacekeeping boots on the ground.

Twenty six countries confirmed their willingness to send troops to Ukraine if a permanent ceasefire can be agreed in order to maintain border security.

While negotiations for a peace deal have seemingly collapsed, Putin has continued to ramp up his brutal blitzes on Ukraine in recent weeks.

On Friday, military experts told The Sun that Russia is on track to run out of anti-drone missiles by February.

They added that Putin’s troops are firing them faster than they can be replaced.

Ukraine is currently hitting Russian oil refineries on an almost nightly basis – sending the price of petrol soaring.
