He was rushed to a hospital in Uttar Pradesh but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The monkeys are believed to have entered the house in the village of Surajpur and carried the infant away as his family were completing daily chores.

Panic soon set in for the parents after they noticed their son was nowhere to be found.

They began searching frantically for any trace of the boy and eventually heard faint cries from the rooftop.

Upon investigation, they discovered the child inside a water-filled drum.

Police responded to the scene, conducted a preliminary inquiry, and sent the body for a postmortem examination.

The incident has left the local community shaken and grieving.

Residents say this tragedy highlights a long-standing issue with aggressive monkey behaviour in the area.

Villagers are now urging authorities to implement effective measures to prevent further loss of life and ensure public safety.

The tragedy comes after a similar case from 2022 when another two-month-old infant was dragged from a terrace and thrown into a water tank by monkeys.

CCTV footage showed the moment Keshav Kumar was carried away by the dangerous primates.

It was speculated that the kidnapping plot may have been led by a female money who had lost her own child.

A local veterinarian claimed the grieving monkey could have mistaken the infant for her own lost child before dumping it once she realised.

India is known to be overrun by rampant monkeys in certain regions.

In Eastern India, one cheeky primate was caught breaking into a railway office and popping himself down at a computer to do some work.

According to reports, the grey langur broke into the office and began mimicking the staff copying what he’s seen the humans do.
