A BABY boy has been left fighting for his life after suffering “critical” injuries as two people have been charged.
Merseyside Police have released a statement after the unresponsive baby boy was found at a house in Seacombe on Sunday.
Klevi Pirjani, 36, and Nivalda Santos Pirjani, 33, both of Seacombe, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and Section 18 wounding with intent.
Both were remanded in custody to appear at Magistrates’ Court today and have since been further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on December 23.
The force said: “At about midday on Sunday, we were called to a property on Percy Road to reports of concern for the child.
“The infant was taken to hospital to be assessed where injuries were found to his body. The boy’s condition is described as critical.”
