Kompany replaces Thomas Tuchel as Bayern’s new boss.

And his main task will be to restore their place as Germany’s No1 club after Bayern’s 11-season title streak was ended by Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.

Kompany became their top target following snubs from numerous big names.

Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick are among the gaffers who rejected Bayern’s advances after Tuchel’s messy fallout.
