Tuchel, 50, replaced Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern in March 2023, and helped the club to an 11th consecutive Bundesliga title.
But his position is now hanging by a thread after THREE defeats in eight days left their title hopes in tatters.
Bayern lost 3-0 to title rivals Bayer Leverkusen before suffering defeats to Lazio in the Champions League and bottom-half Bochum, which left them a full eight points behind Xavi Alonso’s leaders.
Leon Goretzka has compared Bayern Munich’s recent downturn “a horror movie that doesn’t stop.”
But Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen insists they will stick with Tuchel ahead of pivotal clashes against RB Leipzig, Freiburg and the second-leg of their Champions League tie with Lazio.
But if results go against the former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain tactician – a change could be on the horizon.
And Betfair have installed Hansi Flick as the 2/1 favourite to return to the German capital.
Flick, 58, is a free agent having become the first Germany boss to be sacked since the role was created in 1926.
Flick enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Bayern, winning the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, DFL Supercup and FIFA Club World Cup during his tenure.
Xabi Alonso, who’s being strongly linked with Liverpool to replace Jurgen Klopp, is next in the betting market at 4/1.
Free agent Jose Mourinho is amongst the contenders at 6/1 having been sent packing by Roma in January, while departing Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is further behind at 10/1.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Jose Mourinho is among the contenders at 6/1 to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich manager following a run of poor results. Hansi Flick is the 2/1 favourite to return to the capital, with Xabi Alonso 4/1 and Jurgen Klopp 10/1.
“Roberto De Zerbi and Thiago Motta are 16/1 outsiders for the permanent job, while Unai Emery is 20/1 and Ruben Amorim, 22/1, joins Julian Nagelsmann, 25/1, towards the bottom of the betting.”
