A BODY has been found in the search for a motorist who became trapped inside a vehicle during Storm Babet.
Cops and the Coastguard were scrambled to Marykirk, Aberdeenshire at around 3am on Friday, October 20 following reports of the incident.

A helicopter search was launched to trace the missing person but all efforts were unsuccessful.
Police today confirmed the body of a man and a vehicle has been recovered.
A force spokesperson said: “Officers carrying out searches following an incident on Friday, 20 October, where a man within a vehicle was trapped in floodwater near Marykirk, have recovered the body of a man and a vehicle.
“Formal identification is still to take place, however next of kin have been informed.”
It comes after a section of road in the Aberdeenshire village was washed away during torrential rain and strong winds.
Marykirk was one of the areas affected by the rare red weather warning.
Earlier, tributes were paid to a “loving” family man who died after a tree struck his van during the storm.
John Gillan, 56, was driving on the B9127 at Whigstreet near Forfar, Angus, when the incident happened at about 5.05pm on Thursday.
Mr Gillan, from Arbroath, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Others who died during the storm included Wendy Taylor, 57, who was swept into the Water of Lee at Glen Esk at around 1.45pm on Thursday.
She was described in a tribute from her family as a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and “a ray of sunshine” to everyone who knew her.
