COPS have discovered a body while searching for a missing teenage boy who vanished a week ago.

Mihran Khachatryan, 17, went missing last Monday afternoon from Cambridgeshire.

The teen left his home in Ashmead Drive, Hardwick just after 7pm to go for a walk but did not return.

Now, a body has been sadly found by a member of the public out walking in woodland in the Caldecote area on Friday morning.

Formal identification of the body is yet to be carried out, said Cambridgeshire Police.

Detectives are keeping an open mind at this stage, however, the circumstances are not being considered suspicious.

Cops received an unconfirmed sighting of Mihran on Madingley Road on Tuesday at 11.20am but the hunt for the teen desperately continued through the week.

He was described as 5ft 6 inches tall, slim, wearing a grey coat blue cargos and grey shoes, and dark hair in a ponytail.

Detective inspector Lindsay Harbour previously said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for Mihran’s welfare and we’re continuing to appeal for information on his whereabouts.

“The community has been incredibly helpful in assisting us and we’ve had an unconfirmed sighting of Mihran on the A1303 Madingley Road, close to the M11 junction, at about 11.20pm on Tuesday, April 22.

“I’d like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage from that evening or saw anything along that stretch of road.”
