COPS have arrested three people after the body of a 41-year-old man was found at a house.
Police were called to Cross Street in Macclesfield, Cheshire, at 10.35pm on Tuesday following reports of a “sudden death”.
Upon arrival, officers tragically found the body of 41-year-old Stephen Rothwell.
Cops have since arrested three people after enquiries.
A 41-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from the Macclesfield area, were arrested.
Another woman, aged 42, has also been arrested and all three currently remain in custody.
DI Simon Mills, who is leading the investigation, said: “Officers are currently in the Macclesfield area carrying out further enquiries into the circumstances of the death.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of Cross Street between 8am on Monday 18 August and 11pm on Tuesday 19 August.
“The same goes for anyone who has CCTV, doorbell footage, or dashcam in relation to those times and locations. Information can be shared with us via the website.”
