THE BODY of a woman in her 50s has been found in a popular park and is being treated as “unexplained” by police as investigations continue.
A cordon was put in place this morning after the body of a woman was found at Poole Park, Dorset.

Dorset Police were called at 8.29am to reports that a woman had been discovered in the area.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers attended and following enquiries, her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“Her family has been informed and the coroner has been notified.
“Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“A cordon remains in place at the scene and there will be an increased police presence in the area as police activities continue.”
A white forensics tent was set up within the cordon as forensic teams from South West Police were sent to the scene.
Police also put up a covering over nearby bushes to protect the scene during the investigation.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 08:37hrs on Wednesday 23 July to an incident in Poole.
“We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene.”
