THE grieving family of a 12-year-old boy who died after falling from a playground roundabout have paid tribute to their “blue-eyed boy” who “made every day worth living.”
Logan Carter, 12, suffered fatal injuries when he was flung off the play equipment at the Wharton Recreation Ground in Winsford, Cheshire on Friday.

Dozens of balloons, cards, flowers and gifts have been left at the park
It is thought he was with pals at the time of the tragedy and the wheel of an electric bike was used to spin the roundabout.
Paramedics rushed to the recreation ground at 6pm after Logan was injured.
Sadly, the Liverpool fan – nicknamed Bear by his family – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Logan’s family have now released a heartbroken tribute to their son, saying: “Logan was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, great grandson, cousin and friend to many. He had an infectious personality and a beautiful smile.
“Everyone wanted to be where Logan was. He was a little boy who was so full of life and wanted to make everyone laugh.
“He made every day worth living. Logan was everyone’s therapy person, their calm and he will be missed more than we can ever put into words.
“We are taking comfort from the words of support we have received whilst we take time to come to terms with the untimely loss of our blue eyed boy.”
Logan’s dad, Rob Carter, had previously told other parents to “hold your kids close and tell them every day how much you love them.”
The grieving father took to social media yesterday to pay tribute to his son in a string of touching posts.
He said: “All I can say to people is hold your kids and tell them every day how much you love them because you never know when they will be gone.”
Rob added: “When I woke up on Friday my little mate I didn’t think that would be the last time I get to see you.
“My mate, my heart has been ripped in two I will never forget you my mate sleep tight up there.
“I’ll see you one day at them gates mate love you so much Logan, forever 12.”
Today flowers could be seen on the roundabout which was covered in police “do not cross” tape as floral bouquets were left under a nearby tree.

A Liverpool jersey and balloons were also left at the park as tributes from locals and family members began pilling up.
Among the tributes left at the scene was one which read: “You will always be in our hearts forever. Love Aunty Jude & Uncle Bri.”
Another read: “Fly high handsome boy. Sleep tight. Loving you always and forever. Aunty Del & Uncle Dave.”
A resident, who didn’t wish to be named, said: “I heard someone was using an electric bike on the roundabout to spin it around.
“It must have gone too fast and thrown the lad off. It’s so sad.”
Logan’s friends also paid tribute to him online.
Gemma Boughey posted: “Sleep tight Logan, absolutely heartbroken, can’t believe you are gone, amazing friend to my son who will miss you greatly, Forever 12 and Forever in our hearts.”
Amelia Smith said: “So sad we’ve lost such a sweet lad.”
Teacher Paula Brown said: “Such awful news to hear, he was such a lovely young man, was such a pleasure teaching him at primary school. My thoughts go out to his whole family.”
Karen Newman added: “Its absolutely devastating to hear this sad news at a time he should have been looking forward to the start of a new term at school my heart breaks for his family.”

A fundraiser has been set up for the tragic youth with members of the local community donating in Logan’s memory.
The fundraiser, organised by Samatha Morana, reads: “Hello, as many of you will have seen there has been a tragic incident in Winsford, where a young boy age 12 has sadly lost his life.
“Something no parent should have to do is lose there child. I am hoping as a community we can raise some funds to help take the stress of Carys and Rob at this difficult time and help them give Logan the send of that he deserve and help family with what they need.”
The fundraiser for young Logan has raised over £8,000 with more than 500 people donating to support the boy’s family.
So far, the Gofundme has raised well over half of its £13,000 target.
The donated money will be used to support Logan’s family and give the youth the “send off he deserves.”
Logan was a pupil at Winsford Academy which posted on its website: “We are deeply saddened by the recent tragic news involving one of our students.
“Our thoughts are with the family and all those affected at this incredibly difficult time.
“As a school community, we will be offering support to students, staff, and families.”
Cheshire Police is investigating the tragic incident and has asked for any witnesses to contact them.
Detective Sergeant John Rhodes, of the Protecting Vulnerable People Investigations Unit, said: “This was a deeply tragic incident involving a very young victim and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the boy who sadly died at the scene.
“As part of our investigation into this incident, we are asking anyone who may have been in or around the Wharton Recreation Ground area just off Ledward Street in Winsford at around the time of the incident and saw anything that may aid us in our enquiries, to please get in touch.”
It’s the second tragedy to involve a 12-year-old boy in the play park.
Cason Hallwood died on Christmas Day 2020 following an allergic reaction to his Christmas dinner which contained nuts.
