Boy, 16, charged with murder of teenager, also 16, stabbed to death at busy train station in UK seaside town

DETECTIVES have charged a teenager with the murder of a 16-year-old boy after the youngster was stabbed to death at a train station.

Officers were called to Seaford railway station, East Sussex, at around 5pm yesterday following reports of a stabbing.

Cops and paramedics raced to the grisly scene where a 16-year-old boy was found suffering from a “serious injury” consistent with a stab wound.

Medics tried their best to save the gravely wounded youth but he sadly passed away at the scene.

Specially trained officers are supporting the boy’s grieving family following the tragedy.

A 16-year-old boy has now been charged with murder in connection with the horror stabbing.

The youngster is also being charged with possession of a bladed article.

He is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates Court on Friday 12 September.

Cops said the horrifying incident was “shocking” and “tragic” yesterday after a teen suspect was taken into custody.

The British Transport Police said today: “If you witnessed the incident or have information that could hell police, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 428 of 10 September.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
