A BOY has denied attempting to murder two pupils and a teacher with a hammer at a top private school.

The 16-year-old allegedly launched into the attack at £41,000-a-year Blundell’s School in Tiverton, Devon, on June 9.

One pupil was left in a critical condition while a second suffered “multiple serious injuries”.

Housemaster Henry Roffe-Silvester, who is a maths teacher and sports coach, was also wounded in the alleged hammer attack.

The teen appeared at Bristol Crown Court today where he denied three counts of attempted murder.

A trial due to be held in December was adjourned, with a hearing set to take place on October 13.

The boy, who legally can’t be named, was remanded into custody.

Blundell’s is a mixed fee-paying school and counts TV star Georgia “Toff” Toffolo and The Day of the Triffids author John Wyndham among its former alumni.
