Jurors heard that hours before the horror, neighbours in Walthamstow, East London, heard the mum begging: “I don’t want to kill my baby.”
Alana was later discovered bleeding outside her home in a nightie and dressing gown and clutching her right side.
The Old Bailey heard she pointed at March, 47, standing nearby and shouted: “Shaine stabbed me, he stabbed me. Help, help.”
Alana had 19 stab wounds to her chest, stomach, pelvis, shoulders, buttocks, right arm, thighs and lower legs.
Jurors heard that following his arrest, March told police: “I did it. I killed her Alana Odysseos. I killed her hahahaha.”
He also said he was “scum”, adding: “I hope she isn’t dead. I hope the baby in her belly is still alive. But you know what yeah? But I did say to her, have the abortion.”
The court was told the couple had been seeing each other for around four months when Alana found out she was pregnant.
But March had allegedly threatened Alana and accused of her cheating – claiming the unborn baby was not his.
She also told friends and family they argued constantly and that she had to answer the phone to March at all times of the day and night to tell him where she was, it was said.
Alana allegedly told one pal he had destroyed or thrown out her child’s toys and said that they argued over her pregnancy.
She also showed her sister voice notes of March shouting and threatening, calling her names, saying their unborn child was not his and telling her to get an abortion, jurors heard.
Prosecutor Louise Oakley said: “She admitted that she was scared of the defendant.
“There had plainly been physical violence. You will hear reference to a glass smashed in her face.”
On July 21, Alana messaged her sister saying March was “acting up”.
She replied: “Oh sis u deserve so much better x”.
Alana added: “Can’t help who u love but he don’t love any of us.”
Ms Oakley told jurors: “Little did she know that hours later, she would be dead.”
Around midnight, neighbours heard a row and a man saying: “I’m not letting you back in, I’m fed up with you, you always do this.”
Alana was standing outside in her dressing gown crying, trying to apologise, it was said.
Hours later, she was discovered covered in blood outside with multiple stab wounds.
March was arrested at Creams Cafe in Walthamstow after he told a worker he had killed his wife and child, the court heard.
He later allegedly told a prison officer that he “saw red” and stabbed Alana with a knife from the kitchen after arguing about a pair of his trainers.
March has admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility but denies murder.
The trial continues.
